SAMPLE POST -- We met the Boxer rescue group at a Feeders Supply and subsequently adopted CoCo. ------ FYI as KPetsAdmin - Not eligible to win. This is an initial post to kick off the contest forum as an example. -Kim Kolarik, The C-J.

My best Feeders moment was the day I meet the 'puppy' above. I had been to several Feeders & Kentucky Humane Society adoption days as well as other shelters looking for a dog but couldn't imagine taking one of those sweet active animals home and leaving them all day in a crate while I went to work. So I would only look at the older dogs thinking they were less active & needed a home. My friend, who was determined to help me find the right pet, picked up the 'last' puppy in the concrete area at Feeders In McMahon Plaza while I looked at the older pets . Somehow she got me to hold him. As he sat in my lap, licked my chin and sighed I knew what that e-mail that goes around about puppy 'size' meant and couldn't leave him either . . .in the store. That was 5 years ago & he still makes me smile every day!

This is Riley Lee. He is a shih tzu that knows how to have fun. He loves to party. That is why every chance he gets he loves to go shop at Feeder's Supply. He also loves going there to visit Santa Claus and enjoy the awesome Halloween party. Everytime he visits Feeder's Supply he makes a new friend. This is Riley staying cool in his summer pool!
He's cute and I'll bet he's spoiled rotten!
A year or so ago I took my adopted son Dexter, a tri-color Chihuahua to the Feeders Supply in Clarksville Indiana. After a brisk walk around the store and Dexter "sampling" the dog treats in the lower bins when I wasn't paying attention we made it to the checkout counter. As the clerk rang up my purchase I noticed that Dexter had gone behind the counter and upon further inspection found him answering the call of nature on the floor and the clerks shoe. The clerk was VERY understanding as I apologized profusely. I just looked at little Dexter and said "I can't take you anywhere"

Awww that is one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen! :)

This is our rescue kitty Gracie...we figured it was by the grace of God she was still alive. She was found on my sister's back porch during an ice storm. Her ears, 1/2 of her tail and toe nails off her left hind leg were missing. She has been a joyous addition to our family.

Meet Merlin the magnificiant our blue merle Border Collie. My brother in law's dog had 7 puppies and when I met Merlin for the first time he was 12 hours old. It took me 8 weeks to convince my husband we needed a dog. Now, six years later they are inseparable. My favorite Feeder Supply story is whenever we take him along he has to ride the flat bed cart to his favorite aisle....the dog food aisle!
The first picture of Merlin he is catching snowballs. The second picture is what he looked like afterwards.

My wife loved him dearly but last year we lost her to cancer and now it's just me and the little guy. It's still had to deal with sometimes but I know she's looking down and smiling at little Dexters antics.

Glad you shared the story. Sorry for your loss. Kim

As a petsitter, I don't petsit in my home. I go to their's for scheduled visits. So Lucy, if you are taking pets into your home, then yes, you would need some type of license or permit. You may even need to look into zoning issues with your home. Al…

They might be referring to a business license, which you don't need for a pet sitting business. You might want to join a petsitters group like Petsitters International (www.petsit.com). They usually have a lot of good info for getting your business…
