Meet Patchey (aka Budz) our 10 year old Australian Shephard Mix. Patchey loves being oustide, and he especially enjoys snow since he doesn't get to see it often.

Bosco, Belle, and Sarge all enjoy Feeders Supply. Yesterday Bosco the male Saint Bernard won 3rd place in the costume contest at the Feeders Supply in Shepherdsville. He also enjoyed the free treats and of course a crumb of cake!

I always find great deals at Feeders Supply and I love the repeater cards. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions. I'd have to say my favorite moment was on Saturday during the 50th Anniversary Party. I took this picture of Tinkerbell as we walked through the aisles waiting for the pet contest to begin. The image tells me she's looking for the treats section. We had a great time at the party.

This is RD, well known at the Hikes Point Feeders. I got him one year ago as a rehab training project dog, and inspite of his earlier issues, he captured my heart, and has turned into a remarkable dog.
I had just picked him up from a truck stop, where I met the rescue transporter that brought him to me.
We immediately went to the vet to get him checked out, as he was 40 pounds under weight, and had many wounds on his body. After the vet we went to to Hikes Point Feeders to pick up some supplies for RD's immediate care, and we had only just walked in the door, when RD started Urinating in the floor, and could not stop, he just kept flowing, and flowing.
Thank goodness the staff was quick thinking, and got a mop bucket out there, they mopped, and he peed.
That was the last accident he ever had inside, and has turned into the most remarkable dog I have ever had the honor of being master to.

If this were a voting contest, I would have to vote for Teresa Pridemore's photo of RD on that motorcycle...and the one of RD sitting on top of the garbage can...I love the story of the rescue also. The best dog I ever had was a doberman (who thought he was a collie) who was almost dead when I got him. Although he had an enlarged heart from a heartworm infestation (where he survived the "cure"), he lived to be 16 years old. He was stolen 3 times and one time I had to pay $300 ransom to get him back. Sometimes the rescues make the best dogs...they appreciate the fact that you saved them so much....what a beautiiful dog.
Finding homes for the large dogs is the most difficult. They don't last as long in the shelters from what I understand.
GREAT photos! RD shouid be on the front page of the CJ's website.
Janelle Ciolek is our Feeder Supply contest winner.

Congratulations Janelle

As a petsitter, I don't petsit in my home. I go to their's for scheduled visits. So Lucy, if you are taking pets into your home, then yes, you would need some type of license or permit. You may even need to look into zoning issues with your home. Al…

They might be referring to a business license, which you don't need for a pet sitting business. You might want to join a petsitters group like Petsitters International (www.petsit.com). They usually have a lot of good info for getting your business…
