just thought i'd recommend a place for kenneling or just dropping your dog off while you're at work for some play time. it's called Treats Pet Resort, and is located at Taylorsville and Gene Snyder off of Hoepwell Road. It's a REALLY nice place, toddler beds, dvd players and tvs, a mile long nature trail, indoor and outdoor play areas and a very dog friendly staff! their website is http://www.treatspetresort.com I drop my 2 labs off sometime while I'm at work and they're good and tired by the time I pick them up!

Treats Pet Resort is an awesome place to take your dog as we take are black lab there for play dates and for extended stays when we go out of town and can't take her with us. Martie absolutely loves this place as once we are inside she goes right to the staff and might look back to say bye but other wise she is happy to be visiting her friends at Treats. I am so glad we found Treats as we would never take Martie any where else. The best part is someone is there 24 hours a day so you can call and check on your four legged child whenever you want and that gives us the comfort of knowing all is ok while we are not there with her. If you are looking for a place to take your pet then give Treats Pet Resort a try as you will never go anywhere else after you see how happy your pet is when you pick them up.

I take my pug, Jackpot, to Treats Pet Resort. The staff is wonderful. Jackpot loves to go and play all day with his friends. He is totally wiped out when I pick him up. It is so much better than spending the day in the crate while I'm at work. My favorite thing about Treats is if I have to work late, it's no problem.... they are open 24/7....someone is always there. I have left him there while on vacation and never worry. It is a very clean facility. Jackpot has been a regular visitor for a year now and has made a lot of friends. I highly recommend Treats for your pet. It's convenient location just off the Gene Snyder is great!

Yes, Treats Pet Resort is awesome! They are always friendly. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. The groomers are great and my dog, Rocky, always looks great when I pick him up. I recommend them to everyone.

Treats is a Fantastic Pet Resort, I adopted my 4 1/2 old German Shepherd from a shelter and he was scarred of people, but after taking him to Treats! He is like a new dog! He loves it there, I take him once a week for doggy day care and board him at Treats when I have to go out of town. All the employees have been awesome, they have exercised a lot of patience to make him feel welcome and introduced him to other animals. All I have to do is say "Jethro you want to go see and I start naming the employees of Treats and he is ready to go!" It's like he has a second family! Also they are gret at making sure he stays on his schedule, regardless if it is food or medicine, I can count on Treats to take care of my baby!!!

Can't agree enough about Treats. I have a Gordon Setter with extreme separation anxiety, and Treats is the only place besides home he will stay. He has broken out of crates, torn up walls and doors, etc., at other places, but Rachel and the staff make him feel so comfortable that he gets excited to go there! Hands down, the best boarding kennel I've ever seen or heard of. Well worth it for anyone who truly sees their pet as a member of the family that deserves the best.

As a petsitter, I don't petsit in my home. I go to their's for scheduled visits. So Lucy, if you are taking pets into your home, then yes, you would need some type of license or permit. You may even need to look into zoning issues with your home. Al…

They are probably referring to the licence you need from Louisville Metro Animal Control. You need a license for boarding (babysitting is considered the same thing as they are in your care during that time) You do need this as the fines are steep fo…

They might be referring to a business license, which you don't need for a pet sitting business. You might want to join a petsitters group like Petsitters International (www.petsit.com). They usually have a lot of good info for getting your business…
